Artboard
An artboard is a dedicated workspace inside a design program where designers create, arrange, and preview visual work. Artboards are commonly used in tools like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, Figma, and other design platforms to separate different layouts, pages, screens, concepts, or formats within one file. A designer might use separate artboards for logo variations, social media graphics, website pages, ad layouts, packaging concepts, or brand presentation slides.
For growing brands, artboards help keep creative work organized, consistent, and easier to review. They allow teams to compare design directions, prepare assets for different channels, and maintain a clearer visual system across campaigns and customer touchpoints. Artboards are especially useful when developing brand identity, website design, creative services, and scalable brand systems. When used strategically, artboards support cleaner collaboration, stronger design consistency, and a more polished creative process from concept to final delivery.
