Brand Dilution

Brand dilution occurs when a brand loses clarity, strength, or distinctiveness due to overextension, inconsistency, or misalignment. This can happen when a brand stretches too far, introduces unrelated offerings, or communicates conflicting messages across touchpoints. Dilution weakens brand equity by making it harder for audiences to understand what the brand stands for and why it’s different.
