White Space (Green Space)
White space (also called green space in strategic frameworks) refers to untapped areas of opportunity in a market where customer needs are unmet or competitors are absent or weak. These gaps might be unmet needs, unserved segments, under-developed product categories, or emerging trends. Identifying white space allows brands to innovate, define new offerings, develop unique positioning, and grow without directly competing in overcrowded categories — often leading to stronger differentiation and strategic advantage.
