Design Token

A design token is a reusable design value that helps teams maintain consistency across websites, apps, interfaces, and digital products. Design tokens can represent colours, typography, spacing, sizing, shadows, border radius, animation timing, and other visual or functional rules. Instead of manually defining these values in every design or code file, teams use tokens to create a shared source of truth that can be applied across design systems and development workflows.

For growing brands, design tokens make digital experiences easier to scale, update, and manage. They are especially useful for design systems, where reusable components, visual rules, and style standards need to stay consistent across platforms. Design tokens can also support stronger brand identity, more efficient website design, and scalable Webflow builds where design systems, performance, and CMS architecture need to work together. The Branded Agency’s Brand in a Box Core package also highlights the value of typography, colour palettes, design elements, and scalable logo systems for creating a consistent brand from day one. When used strategically, design tokens help teams reduce inconsistencies, speed up production, and build digital experiences that stay aligned as a brand grows.
