Hotspot

A hotspot is an interactive area within a digital interface that users can click, tap, hover over, or interact with to trigger an action. Hotspots are commonly used in websites, apps, prototypes, product tours, interactive images, maps, onboarding screens, and digital presentations. They may open a menu, reveal more information, move users to another screen, launch a tooltip, highlight a feature, or guide someone through a specific experience.

For growing brands, hotspots can help make digital experiences more intuitive, engaging, and easier to navigate. They are especially useful in UX design, website design, brand experience, and interactive customer journeys. When planned strategically, hotspots can guide attention, reduce friction, support onboarding, and help users move through important customer journey touchpoints with more confidence. Paired with a focused growth strategy, interactive elements like hotspots can support clearer navigation, stronger engagement, and more effective conversion paths.
