Microcopy

Microcopy refers to the small pieces of text that help users understand what to do, what is happening, or what to expect within a digital experience. It can appear in buttons, CTAs, form labels, error messages, confirmation messages, tooltips, navigation prompts, onboarding screens, checkout flows, and empty states. Although microcopy is often brief, it plays an important role in making websites, apps, and digital products feel clearer, easier to use, and more human.

For growing brands, microcopy supports usability, trust, conversion, and consistency. Strong microcopy should be clear, helpful, and aligned with the brand’s personality so every interaction feels intentional. It connects closely to brand voice, UX design, website design, and content marketing, because each one shapes how people understand and respond to a brand online. When paired with thoughtful brand experience, microcopy can reduce confusion, guide users toward action, and make digital touchpoints feel more polished, useful, and on-brand.
